Thank You!
As the weather cools and the farmer’s markets wind down, the TMSP would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those local businesses that sponsored our annual Summer Fair through direct financial and product donations, and who contributed to a wonderful day for the community.

  • Franklin Savings Bank
  • Tilton School
  • Northway Bank
  • Lakes Region Coca Cola
  • Tilton Trailer Rental
  • Public Service of New Hampshire
  • Tanger Outlet Centers

These local and national businesses repeatedly demonstrate that they know the value of community support. We hope that you will support them with your business.

Changes Downtown
Despite the down economy, we’re still seeing businesses move, shift, and reinvent themselves in our downtown, and that’s a fantastic sign.  We’d like to welcome Pat and Tim Mountfort of Pat’s This and That, and thank them for giving downtown Tilton a try! Pizza Express has opened up in the Cumberland Farms Plaza, and Growing Like a Weed is moving to some new digs—right next door to their current location.

We'd like wish Sue Locantore the best in her move to the Bean Group. Also, a belated welcome goes out to the Gemini Health Emporium. As flu season approaches, stop in and check out their their naturopathic services, handmade wares, and healthy foods.

Turtles Around Town
You might have seen a turtle in Bryant and Lawrence’s front window. No, your  not mistaken, and no, Bryant and Lawrence isn’t expanding its merchandise to include statuary. We’re working on a new fundraiser for the Tilton Main Street Program to raise funds to invest in the downtown streetscape improvement plans.

TMSP has partnered with Art Escape in Laconia to produce these wonderful turtle planters just for us. Local artists are busy decorating them in a variety of ways. Sometime after the holidays, visitors to our website will be able to vote for their favorite, so watch for more turtles to appear in shop windows around town.  In the spring, we’ll auction them off to the highest bidders.

If you know an artist interested in participating, please have them call the office at 603-286-8668.

Halloween Festivities
Trick or treat downtown will be held on Friday, October 30 from 4 to 6 pm.
Come downtown dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and visit participating merchants for Halloween treats.

Holiday Parade
The holidays are just around the corner, and TMSP and the town of Tilton are gearing up for the 2nd annual holiday parade and fireworks display.  Scheduled for the first Saturday in December, we hope that this event will be even bigger than last year.  Businesses and community groups interested in having a float in the parade (it’s great FREE advertising!) can download this form and mail it to the main street office. Again this year, Mix 94.1 FM will be broadcasting live, so mark your calendars.

What is the Tilton Main Street Organization?
Tilton Main Street Program is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers, merchants, and citizens who believe that the ecomonis to raise funds for downtown improvements, organizes events, and worc vitality of the downtown is vital to the overall health of the Town of Tilton. TMSP workks with merchants to build their customer base, all with the goal of reinvigorating the downtown.

Please Support Main Street

Although the Tilton Main Street program receives funding from a variety of sources, it is forever shrinking in these tight economic times. It is a challenge to maintain the funding necessary to meet our goals. Please consider making a donation to support the community programs and the events, like Summerfair, Holiday Traditions, or Downtown Historic Preservation efforts.

Thank you for you support.
